Mandi State was a princely state in the Punjab Hills of pre-independence India.
It merged into the Indian Union in 1948 and became part of the modern state of Himachal Pradesh.
The "Chief Minister" (or Dewan/Wazir) acted as a principal administrative officer assisting the ruler (Raja) of the state.
